By 'chance' she is born with exceeding beauty to a people who have been carried away as slaves to the most powerful kingdom in the world. By 'chance' her parents are killed while she is young leaving her to be taken in by her uncle, a man who has found favour as a royal scribe. By 'chance' the Queen is executed by the unknowing King, spurned on by the ruthless plotting of palace princes hungry for power. By 'chance' the King is left feeling alone, pushed and prodded, desperate to live up to and avenge the battles of his father. By 'chance' Esther is carted off to the palace to become part of the King's harem at the same time a vengeful young prime minister with the King's ear is rising to prominence with a plan for orchestrating the genocide of her people.

So begins the story of Esther, One Night With the King, a story that reveals that all of life is under God's command. Triumphant Sound - Gospel Trio Sunday, July 25, 2010 (7:00 pm)
Childcare Age 0 - Grade 3 Provided
Triumphant Sound is a Gospel trio that has been ministering for over 33 years. It began during a family Christmas get together. John Ross, Dave Ross and Ian Elliott their cousin were singing around the piano. Ian's dad was the pastor at Parklawn Baptist Church. He asked them to sing at church. There was someone at that service that asked them to sing at their church. A new group had been born. Eventually Bill Hawkins came to sing bass and Wes Chapman came to play base guitar. From there the history began.

Currently the group is composed of members Brian Nelson, John Ross & Kathy Sellwood. Traditionally Triumphant Sound has been a male group. However, Kathy became a full time member of the group in July of 2009.

Previously to the recent change they were blessed to sing with Phil Pugh. Phil sang the tenor part and worked with them for eight years. Phil chose to leave in December of 2008 to seek the Lord's direction for his singing ministry.

John Ross and Bryan Nelson sang as a duet for three years prior to Phil's arrival. John and Bryan were used of the Lord as a duet but had always enjoyed harmony. They waited on the Lord for three years before Phil joined, making them a trio.

Triumphant Sound had a sabbatical for approximately five years. During that time John Ross actually sang with Kathy and The Sellwoods. Bryan Nelson did some solo ministry. Bryan had mentioned that he felt he would sing with John once again sometime in the future. When the Sellwood's began to wind down John approached Bryan and they began to sing as a duet.
